Gary Grate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Reno NV

The Gary Grate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Reno/Carson City is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training facility that has been serving the Northern Nevada area since 1999. The academy is led by Gary Grate, a 5th degree black belt and highest ranking owner and instructor. They offer classes for men, women, and children of all levels, ages 4 and up. The academy teaches authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including GI and NO-GI submission grappling and ground fighting, as well as wrestling, judo, and MMA. They also have a kids 'anti-bully' system and self-defense classes. The academy has nearly 7,000 sq. ft. of facility space with close to 4000 sq. ft. of mat space and is approved by the Washoe County School District PE Options Program. They have a strong commitment to safety and have a background check and SafeSport program in place.
