Aikido New Haven Aikikai - Fire Horse Dojo

New Haven Aikikai - Fire Horse Dojo is a welcoming and energetic Aikido dojo that practices Aikido, a modern Japanese martial art rooted in jujitsu, kendo, and sword arts, influenced by Zen. The dojo embraces Aikidoka of all backgrounds and offers classes in Aikido, Aikido weapons, and Iaido, the art of drawing and cutting with the Japanese sword. The Chief Instructor, Liese Klein, holds a 5th degree black belt and promotes the Forever Fifth movement, which focuses on growing the art and appealing to younger generations. Aikido is seen as a martial path aimed at self-transformation.
