Santa Cruz Karate

Sanford's Karate is a dojo that teaches traditional Okinawan Karate in Santa Cruz county since 1967. The school primarily practices Shorinji-Ryu Karate and also includes Aiki-Jujutsu (joint locks and takedowns) as well as traditional weaponry. The school focuses on character development and places respect, self-discipline, honesty, bullying, and stranger awareness at the forefront of their teachings. They offer classes for ages 4 and up, split by age and rank, to increase student’s fitness, coordination, strength, body awareness, and teach practical self-defense fundamentals.
