Daruma Dojo

Daruma Dojo is a family-oriented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in Sunnyvale and Milpitas. They are known for their technical excellence and strong culture of belonging, personal growth, and community. Their mission is to create a space where families grow stronger together and students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels feel supported, challenged, and inspired. They teach various styles, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which originated from a Japanese martial art and focuses on grappling and ground techniques, allowing practitioners of any size to effectively defend themselves. Daruma Dojo also offers programs for adults, kids, and teens, including fundamentals, competition training, and honour roll classes. Additionally, they teach Judo, which primarily focuses on throwing opponents onto the ground with control, speed, and force, and employs jiu-jitsu strategies to control and submit them.
