Hwa Rang Kwan Tae Kwon Do

Hwa Rang Kwan Muye is a traditional martial arts school founded by 9th Dan GrandMaster D.K. Shin in 1971. The school is named after the Hwa Rang, an elite warrior group from the Silla kingdom in Korea in the 5th century, who were known for their fighting techniques, courage, and mental strength. The Hwa Rang were also enlightened individuals, schooled in both Confucianism and Buddhism, and developed their internal energy, or Ki. The school's Hwa Rang Creed is based on the original 5 ancient principles of the Hwa Rang Warriors. The school teaches Taekwondo philosophy and trains students in endurance, mind, body, and soul, as well as in the principles of courage, discipline, and mindfulness.
