Revolution Ryu Dojo

Yamashita Shorin-Ryu Karate - Revolution Ryu is a martial arts school dedicated to the teachings of the Yamashita Shorin-Ryu style. Led by experienced instructors Sensei Jacquie Dunevant and Sensei Jon Haar, the dojo focuses on the perfection of character through martial arts training, emphasizing discipline, respect, and personal growth.

Sensei Jacquie’s journey into martial arts began with the desire to learn self-defense, which quickly turned into a deep passion. Over the past 15 years, she has worked closely with Head Master Tadashi Yamashita to establish the dojo in Vista, California, where she trains students in the traditional principles of Shorin-Ryu Karate. Sensei Jon Haar, with a background in Goju-Ryu Karate and Tae Kwon Do, joined Sensei Jacquie in building the dojo and is now a 5th-degree black belt in Yamashita Shorin-Ryu. Together, they have created a welcoming space for martial artists of all levels to train and develop their skills.
