Portsmouth Aikido

Portsmouth Aikido is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit dojo dedicated to teaching the traditional Japanese martial art of aikido to children and adults. Our practice is based on aiki, the principle of bringing opposing forces into harmony. Instead of meeting violence with reciprocal violence, the aikidoka (practitioner) learns to neutralize and redirect attacks, safely resolving the conflict. Aiki is not a technique to fight or defeat enemies; it is a way to reconcile the world and make human beings one family.
