Barongan Kempo

Barongan Kempo is a traditional martial arts dojo in Des Moines, Iowa, founded by Soke 'Bobby' Barongan, a three-time hall of fame inductee. Since 1973, the dojo has promoted Chinese Kempo Karate while incorporating elements of Filipino martial arts. The curriculum includes effective self-defense techniques, weapons training, and traditional kata, all designed to build a strong foundation in martial arts. Students are encouraged to embrace both the historical significance and practical applications of the arts, making it a unique and enriching experience for martial arts enthusiasts.
