About Us

Ingram's Okinawan Karate, founded by John and Cindy Ingram in 1977, focuses on providing traditional Okinawan Isshinryu Karate training. The dojo emphasizes the development of character, confidence, agility, and physical fitness, rather than just fighting techniques. Students learn valuable self-defense skills while improving their concentration and discipline, which benefits both children in school and adults in the workplace. The dojo also offers Kobudo training, which involves the use of authentic Okinawan weapons for self-defense, enhancing the overall martial arts experience. Classes include stretching and calisthenics to help students achieve their best physical condition.
