The Gary Grate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a martial arts school that teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, judo, Muay Thai and MMA. They offer classes for men, women and children of all ages and skill levels, including private and group seminars, as well as self-defense classes. The academy is led by Gary Grate, a 5th degree black belt and owner/instructor with over 25 years of experience. They have two locations in Reno and Carson City, Nevada, and are affiliated with the Gracie family and the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. The academy offers a free week of classes for visitors and has a strong focus on safety, self-defense and bully prevention.
