About Us
Ohio Budokan is a non-profit educational institution founded in 1983, offering instruction in Aikijutsu, Kenjutsu, Genwakai Karate-dō, and Musō Jikiden Eishin Ryū Iaido. The dojo emphasizes physical, mental, and spiritual self-improvement through rigorous training. Students are encouraged to attend a free class in any of the martial arts offered. The dojo also hosts cultural activities like a Japanese Language Club and a Japanese Book Club. All instructors are highly experienced, holding teaching licenses in their respective arts. The current head instructor, Michele Dutcher, trained under the founder, Shihan James I. Rodriguez.
