About Us
Huntsville Kendo Club promotes Kendo in Northern Alabama and the Alabama Kendo community is relatively small but rapidly growing. The club was established in 2013 and was the first official Kendo Club in Alabama registered under the All US Kendo Federation. They offer Kendo practice sessions for beginners and advanced students, with instructors Lewis Chi (5 dan) and Yoshino Takamura (4 dan). The club teaches various styles of Kendo and encourages participants to register under AUSKF for accidental insurance and to receive ranks and participate in seminars and tournaments.
