Kyokushin Karate

Kyokushin Karate West Los Angeles is a dojo that teaches the Karate way of building character, training the mind and body to contribute to society, based on Sosai Mas Oyama’s Kyokushin spirit. The dojo follows the International Karate Organization (IKO) and the Kyokushinkaikan. They teach traditional Kyokushin Karate, which is a style of karate that focuses on real fighting and full-contact sparring. The dojo has a strong emphasis on discipline, respect, and self-improvement, and its members are taught to follow the principles of keeping their head low (modesty), eyes high (ambition), and mouth shut (serenity), and to base themselves on filial piety and benefit others. With teaching experience from Japan and the USA for over 30 years, the dojo has a rich tradition and expertise in teaching Kyokushin Karate.
