Feminist Karate Union

The Feminist Karate Union (FKU) is a supportive community that empowers women and those disproportionately victimized through the practice of karate. Founded 50 years ago, FKU focuses on building strength, confidence, and discipline in a safe environment. The dojo teaches Shito-Ryu, a traditional form of Japanese karate, and emphasizes individual attention in small class sizes. Participants engage in a mind-body connection that enhances coordination and self-defense skills, making karate accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical challenges.
