Koryu-Kai Traditional Japanese Swordsmanship

The Southern Oregon Iaido Club is a supportive and inclusive environment for students to immerse themselves in Traditional Japanese Swordsmanship. Iaijutsu, an ancient Japanese sword technique, combines precision, mindfulness, and physical mastery. The club teaches the art of drawing a katana (Japanese sword) and attacking in a single fluid movement. The Southern Oregon Iaido Club is committed to preserving the rich heritage of Traditional Japanese Swordsmanship while challenging its students to pursue personal growth, self-discipline, and lifelong connections. Justin Hager, the club's sensei, is an accomplished instructor with a passion for Japanese Swordsmanship, and he teaches various classes that cover not only sword techniques but also the proper maintenance, repair, rebuilding, and restoration of all equipment associated with Traditional Swordsmanship and Koryu.
