Louisville Kendo Club

Louisville Kendo Club is the local Kendo club for the greater Louisville area. Founded in 2004, it is a non-profit organization dedicated to the practice and teaching of kendo. The club is affiliated with the East Central U.S. Kendo Federation and is part of the All United States Kendo Federation. The purpose of practicing kendo is to discipline the human character through the principles of the katana, cultivate a vigorous spirit, and strive for improvement in the art of Kendo. Members are encouraged to hold human courtesy and honor in high esteem and to associate with others sincerely. The club promotes the cultivation of oneself to contribute to the development of culture and to promote peace and prosperity among all peoples.
