Japanese Swordsmanship of Gwinnett

The dojo, Japanese Swordsmanship of Gwinnett, LLC, is a traditional martial arts dojo that provides instruction in Samurai martial arts to people of good character. It is a member of the International Shinkendo Federation under the leadership of founder Obata Toshishiro and Master Yukishiro Obata. The dojo teaches various styles of martial arts, including Shinkendo, Toyama-Ryu, Bojutsu, and Aiki-bujutsu. Training at the dojo emphasizes Reiho (Etiquette), discipline, and safety through Shugyo (serious training). Students learn the safe and respectful handling of the Japanese sword through practice with a bokuto (wooden sword). The dojo also offers a traditional format of instruction, pacing uniquely per individual, suitable for beginners and experienced martial artists.
