Traverse City Samurai Arts

At Tonbo Dojo, we study Samurai sword arts (Kenjutsu) and empty hand arts (Aiki Jujutsu). We welcome new students of all levels and previous experience to join our martial arts class. Our youth class is specifically designed for ages 12-17, held on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Students are encouraged to wear clothes that allow for movement, and we provide basic gear to borrow until they can purchase their own. We are located in Traverse City Fencing Club, only 5 minutes from downtown Traverse City, in a large converted warehouse that has been tailored for martial arts practice.
