About Us
Bozeman Aikido is a community-centered dojo that offers Aikido classes for people of all ages. The dojo's mission is to empower and enrich its members and the community through the practice of Aikido. They aim to foster a healthy lifestyle through personal growth, advancement of the art, and collaboration with other Aikidoka. Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art that was developed in the 20th century to utilize an opponent's attacking energy in order to subdue them without injury. The dojo teaches various styles of Aikido, including basic and advanced techniques, as well as internal Aiki and children's programs. Their instructors have accumulated well over one hundred years of instruction in Aikido, which is a testament to the length of time people are able to train injury-free. The dojo is registered with the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan.
