Ironbound Boxing Academy

Ironbound Boxing offers free amateur boxing training for opportunity youth in Newark, New Jersey. In addition to its free boxing training programs, it invites its young boxers into a world of supported entrepreneurship, business education, mentorship, and paid internships through its Courage Academy and THRIVE incubator programs, capitalizing on the mutual skills necessary to succeed in and out of the ring. This approach aims to build future community leaders, successful business owners, and powerful contributors. The organization has already achieved impressive results, including coaching and training over 75 boxers to compete at the highest levels of amateur boxing, awarding over $15,000 in microgrants, and helping over 40 young adults go to college, launch businesses, and find fulfilling and rewarding jobs.
