Japanese Culture Center

The Japanese Culture Center is a school that offers classes in various martial and cultural arts. It was established in 1977 by Fumio Toyoda to make Japanese martial arts, crafts, and philosophical knowledge available to the public. The Center offers classes in over a dozen martial and cultural arts, including Aikido, Capoeira, Chanoyu, Haiku, Iaido, Ikebana, Japanese Classical Dance, Japanese Language, Kendo, Origami, Personal Training, Reiki, Shodo Calligraphy, Shotokan Karate, Sumi-e Painting, Suminagashi, and Zen Meditation. The JCC is a true 'Dojo', or 'House of the Way', where living skills are passed on person to person from generation to generation.
