Japan Karate Association of Chicago Sugiyama Dojo

The JKA Chicago Sugiyama Dojo is a traditional Shotokan Karate organization that offers an extraordinary journey through the martial art of self-defense. Established in 1963 in Chicago, IL, the dojo proudly traces its lineage to masters Shojiro Sugiyama, Shihan; Hidetaka Nishiyama, Shihan; and Gichin Funakoshi, Shihan, the founding father of Karate-do.
