Welcome Mat Judo Club

Welcome Mat Judo Club is the oldest active judo club in the Kansas City area, founded in 1969. The dojo has a proud tradition of success, developing over 350 individual athletes who have won U.S. national championships in judo, sambo, and sport jujitsu. The club offers instruction for all levels of interest, whether you aim to become a competitive athlete, seek practical self-defense skills, or simply want to learn a martial art. With a focus on positive values and a welcoming atmosphere, the dojo emphasizes traditional discipline while providing excellent training for both adults and kids.
