McCleary Jiu-Jitsu is a family-run academy led by Sean and Mary McCleary, who bring over 25 years of combined experience to the mats. The school offers training that spans practical self-defense grappling to high-level competition Jiu-Jitsu, creating a supportive environment for all skill levels. Sean, a black belt since 2021, is an active nogi competitor specializing in leg locks, while Mary, a first-degree black belt, coaches the competition team and leads a dedicated women’s program with open mats to strengthen female participation in the art. Together, they provide cutting-edge instruction in both Gi and Nogi, helping students build confidence, discipline, and technical mastery.
