Fremont Shotokan Karate

Fremont Shotokan Karate is dedicated to providing high-quality training in traditional Japanese karate, specifically the Shotokan style. Established in 2006, the dojo has faced challenges, including a temporary closure due to COVID-19 and the tragic loss of co-founder Bernardo Mercado Sensei in December 2022. Despite these setbacks, the dojo continues to welcome students of all ages and fitness levels, offering a supportive environment for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The focus is on technique, fitness, and self-defense principles, ensuring that everyone can find their place in the practice of karate.
