Welcome to Luton Aikido Club, one of the longest established clubs of its kind in Britain. Aikido is a defensive martial art suitable for both men and women, focusing on controlling and subduing attackers by getting them off balance and using wrist locks or throws. It is effective without relying on brute strength, allowing smaller individuals to defend against larger attackers. The club has been in existence since 1977, founded by Mrs. Ros Loft, who teaches a traditional style of Aikido. The club promotes a happy, relaxed atmosphere for learning and accepts new members from the age of 18.
