Welcome to Karlskrona Jiujitsuklubb Kihon! The association was founded in 2014 and offers jiujitsu training for both children and adults. We practice jiujitsu according to the Durewall system and the club is affiliated with the Swedish Jiujitsu Federation. Jiujitsu, which translates to 'soft technique' in Japanese, emphasizes overcoming greater force with less effort, often by being 'yielding' or 'giving way to win', or by circumventing the attacker's strength. Kihon means 'basics' in Japanese, and we dedicate significant time to building a solid foundation to help individuals develop their skills in jiujitsu. In addition to excellent self-defense skills, jiujitsu provides a full-body workout. You do not need to be in great shape to start; everyone is welcome just as they are!
