Capoeira Besouro Preto Barcelona

The Asociación Besouro Preto is a group of individuals who have been active in Barcelona for 16 years, working to teach, promote and maintain Afro-Brazilian manifestations such as Capoeira, Maracatu, Maculelê, Samba de Roda, Coco de Roda, Puxada de Rede do Xaréu and others. They offer regular classes of Capoeira and Maracatu de Baque Virado and promote cultural exchange with manifestations of various cultures in Barcelona. They have a blog where they post about the origins of Capoeira, Capoeira Regional and Capoeira Angola. The group is led by Mestre Boca Rica, who is a representative of a generation of the 90s and was baptized by Mestre Suassuna as 'O Boca Rica'. They have also performed at the Gran Teatre Liceu in Barcelona and have been featured in various media outlets.
