About Us
The Centro de Capoeira São Salomão is a cultural entity that was founded in 1997 in Recife, Brazil by Mestre Mago. The center promotes and preserves the practice of Capoeira, following the fundamentals of both the Capoeira Angola and Capoeira Regional styles. Their main objective is to practice and teach Capoeira, and they have a new philosophy of work that has transformed the center into a cultural point, where various Brazilian popular manifestations are valued. They also have a social action program to prevent the phenomenon of 'meninos de rua' (street children) in Recife, which includes Capoeira, music, reading, and writing classes, as well as educational activities for children and adolescents. The association was born in 2010 in Trento and aims to spread and practice Capoeira, as well as to promote the activities of the Centro de Capoeira São Salomão from Recife. They have schools in Trento, Rovereto, and other cities in Italy, including Roma, Padova, Matera, and Orvieto.
