About Us
The Ken Shin Kan - Scuola di Kendō is a non-profit sports association that aims to study and spread the practice of Kendō and associated disciplines in accordance with traditional Japanese principles, ethics, and practice. Founded in 1983, the school has collected and preserved the teachings of several Japanese masters, including Maestro Nishinoara Kenzo. The school's Kendō practice focuses on spiritual training, emphasizing the importance of concentration (Sanmai) and treating bamboo or wooden swords as true blades. The goal of the Ken Shin Kan is to form a group of serious practitioners of the Japanese Way of the Sword through a traditional teaching method, rather than focusing on competitive sports or grading.
