Karate Shotokan Cagliari is a non-profit sports association founded in 1998, led by Maestro Carlo Murru. The association aims to train young people, introduce them to sports practice, and promote the discipline of Karate through distinct courses for young athletes and competitive athletes. It also encourages collaboration among Masters, Instructors, and Sports Societies focused on Karate practice. Shotokan Karate is recognized for its deep stances, effective direct strikes, and the centrality of kihon, kata, and kumite. It is not just a martial art but an educational discipline and a personal growth journey rooted in the ancient island of Okinawa, blending local self-defense techniques with Chinese fighting styles.
