Avantis Karate

P.A.S. Avantis is the oldest and most historic Karate club in Chalkida, with over 40 years of continuous presence. Founded in 1982 by coach Christos Koutroumpas, it was the first to introduce Karate to the region of Evia. A member of the Hellenic Karate Federation and recognized by the General Secretariat of Sports, the club initially taught Okinawa Karate and later adopted the Shito Ryu system. More than 1,500 athletes have trained at the club, many earning black belts and becoming instructors themselves. Avantis athletes have achieved major national and international successes, including 8 world championship medals, 3 Balkan medals, and multiple national titles. The club is based at the Heavy Sports Arena in the Makedonika area of Chalkida.
