DJK Novesia 1919 Neuss e.V. offers Kyokushin Karate, a martial art founded in 2020 that emphasizes full-contact fighting, making it one of the toughest styles of karate. The training focuses on Kumite (sparring), Kata (forms), and Kihon (basics), along with techniques for throwing, joint locks, holds, and grips as part of Goshin-Jitsu (self-defense). The department currently has 15 active karate practitioners, ranging from recreational to competitive athletes.
