About Us
The Dojo teaches Capoeira Angola, a traditional style of Capoeira that originated in Brazil. It was developed by African slaves as a means of self-defense against their oppressors. Over time, Capoeira Angola has evolved into a dance-like movement that combines elements of music, rhythm, and expression. The style is characterized by slow and controlled movements, often performed near the ground, which require a high level of body control, strength, and balance. The Dojo is led by Mestre Forró Àlágbè, who has spent many years studying and teaching Afro-Brazilian culture. He has traveled extensively throughout Brazil and now lives in Germany, where he teaches Capoeira Angola in Hannover and Berlin, as well as leading international workshops throughout Europe.
