About Us
The Hildesheim Aikido Club (HAV) was founded in 1982 and is a member of the Aikido Federation Germany and the Aikido Association in Lower Saxony. Since 2018, there has been weekly weapon training based on the teachings of the Japanese martial arts school Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō ryū. Training opportunities are available four days a week, held in the gymnasiums of the Friedrich List School and the Mauritiusschule, led by various instructors. The club also offers a trial period of four weeks for newcomers to experience aikido for free.
