Ki-Shin-Tai Dojo Erlangen

The KI-SHIN-TAI DOJO is a school for traditional Japanese martial arts located in Buckenhof, Erlangen, since 1999. The dojo's name symbolizes the different training levels: KI (life energy), SHIN (spirit/heart), TAI (body), and DÔJÔ (the place of training). They are direct students of their Japanese teachers, with regular contact, training visits, and Japan stays. The training is based on how it is taught in their dojo in Japan. The dojo leader, Thomas Podzelny, has over 32 years of martial arts experience, international teaching and testing licenses, and has trained in Japan 32 times. The dojo offers training in Aikido, Karate, Kobudo, and Budo for kids. Aikido is a self-defense technique developed from the Japanese samurai's martial arts, without any attack techniques. Karate is a self-defense technique from Okinawa with roots in Chinese martial arts, focusing on various defense movements, precise strikes, and kicks against vulnerable body parts.
