About Us

The KARATE-Verein Dieburg e.V. is a karate club that teaches the traditional style of Shotokan karate. The club's philosophy is based on the concept of 'leere Hand', which means 'empty hand' and refers to the fact that karate is a non-contact sport. The club's goal is to help its members achieve physical fitness, self-defense skills, and mental well-being through the practice of karate. The club offers regular training sessions, workshops, and events, including the annual Jahresanfangs-Katalehrgang, which is a traditional karate training session. The club is led by Cheftrainer Richard Grasse, a 5th-degree black belt, and is affiliated with the DJKB (Deutscher JKA-Karate Bund e.V.) and the DKV (Deutscher Karate Verband e.V.). The club's members come from all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and the club offers a supportive and welcoming environment for all members.
