Practitioners, known as Aikidoka, use techniques such as joint locks, throws, and holds to redirect the attacker's energy, gaining control over the situation. Aikido training promotes a balanced development of body and mind, incorporating aspects of breathing, reflexes, awareness, and balance. The dojo teaches classical Aikido based on the 'Makoto' style, alongside training with traditional Japanese wooden weapons like the Jo, Bokken, and Tanto. Aikido is suitable for all ages and skill levels, fostering a respectful and mindful training environment without competitions.
