About Us
Karate Dojo Musashi Dalheim-Rödgen is a karate club that was founded in 1992 by Gerd Steeger with the support of Sensei Peter Brockers. The club is based on traditional Shotokan-Karate and is a member of the Deutsche JKA-Karate Bund / DJKB. The club's name is inspired by Miyamoto Musashi, a Japanese swordsman who lived in the 16th century and is still revered today in Japan. The club's philosophy is based on the principles outlined in Musashi's book 'The Book of Five Rings', which is still studied by top managers around the world. The club has grown from 6 members in 1992 to around 45 members today, with many good performances in national and international competitions. The club's trainers include Dr. Bernd Ullmann (5th DAN/JKA), Ulrich Melcher (3rd DAN/JKA), and Markus Karduck (2nd DAN Shotokan Karate/3rd TOAN Shaolin Combat/Wushu).
