About Us
The Taekwondo-Club Fair Dragon e.V. is a non-profit organization and a registered association at the Bonn District Court (Registerblatt VR 9781). It was formed by a group of people who share the same goal of practicing Korean martial art Taekwondo primarily for self-defense. The club has chosen not to join a traditional Taekwondo association and instead, it is a member of the Bundesverband Selbstverteidigung (Federal Association of Self-Defense) led by Kelly Sach. The club's focus is not on competitive sports, but on a comprehensive approach to martial arts, which they call a Breitensport concept. This means that anyone who is willing to learn and has no major physical restrictions can participate in the club's activities. The club's name, Fair Dragon, represents the principles of Taekwondo, including self-discipline, respect, tolerance, and modesty. The dragon symbolizes protection and welcome to everyone who adheres to these principles.
