Tai Chi is a Chinese movement art that leads to tranquility, balance, and enhanced well-being. The exercises stabilize circulation, improve posture, and increase mobility. Although it originates from martial arts, it is closely linked to Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M.). Many acupuncture points play a significant role in Tai Chi. Often referred to as 'moving meditation', it embodies calmness within movement. The Chinese say: 'replace tens of thousands of thoughts with one thought.' Through high concentration, all everyday thoughts are banished, allowing focus on the 'here and now' in conscious movements. The movements in Tai Chi are slow, soft, and flowing, leading us to balance. The ideal outcome is a calm mind, a flexible body, and better health.
