Matsushima Kyokushin Australia (MKA) is the national body representing IKO Matsushima Kyokushin Karate in Australia. Rooted in the legacy of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, MKA continues the tradition of full‑contact Kyokushin under the guidance of Kancho Yoshikazu Matsushima. Following the leadership of the late Hanshi John Taylor, the organization now unites dojos across the country under Shihan Jim Sklavos and a team of senior branch chiefs. With affiliated schools in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA, TAS, and WA, MKA provides authentic Kyokushin training, national and international events, and a strong community dedicated to discipline, respect, and the spirit of karate.
